Appropriate and free control of optical heating devices using halogen lamps. Halogen lamps are loads with large resistance changes unlike normal loads of the power supply and a large inrush current flows under normal usage. This shortens the lamp service life and adversely affects the power supply. HLC is a multi-functional controller with measures for this problem and supports various requirements of the field.

A variable voltage switching DC stabilized power supply is installed in a high-grade stainless steel case and equipped with voltage and current indicators.
* Switching power supply that is compact and lightweight. Voltage can be varied linearly from zero to maximum.
* The unit is equipped with voltmeter and ammeter. The ammeter is particularly important because it is not possible to control the lamp state with only the voltmeter.
* The case made of high-grade stainless steel has better corrosion resistance than the steel case and does not rust. Therefore, the case does not cause the screws to rust and come off even when used for a long time (screws are also manufactured using SUS304 material). Though the painted surface may scorch if it momentarily becomes the focus of the spot heater, the stainless case is strong. It does not undergo plastic deformation even when a large load is applied protecting the parts inside
*It can be used by switching between 2 voltages using an external contact operation. For example, V1 is set to the main heating state and V2 to the preheat state, and used used by switching freely with an external contact signal
*Voltage can be controlled from the outside. The output voltage can be freely set with an external 4 to 20 mA signal

Explanation of panel operation
Starting from the left side of the top photo
(1) Power switch. 1 is ON, 2 is OFF
(2) V1 (Heat) voltage setting knob. Turning the knob to the left reduces the voltage, turning it to the right increases the voltage
(3) Digital voltmeter and ammeter. Voltage is displayed at the upper side and electric current is displayed at the lower side. Product of voltage value and current value is electric power
(4) V2 (Preheat) setting knob. Turning the knob to the left reduces the voltage, turning it to the right increases the voltage
(5) Display lamp, explanation of lamps starting from the left side, yellow lamp ? Indicates that V1 voltage setting has been selected, blue lamp ? Indicates the control state of external 4 to 20 mA,
red lamp ? Error indication (lamp disconnected or not connected), green lamp ? Indicates that V2 voltage setting has been selected

It is compact and lightweight with a current capacity of 30 A, and free power supply voltage (AC 100 V to 240 V). Lamps up to 6 kW can be controlled for 200 V voltage, and can be used by connecting to all standard spot and line heaters of Fintech
* Multi-functional digital meters are usually used for displaying the electric power. With the previous voltage display, heating capacity of lamps could be understood only indirectly. However, in the case of electric power display, the heating capacity, the heating capacity can be understood directly. With voltage control, even if the lamp malfunctioned, it could not be detected from the values, in the case of voltage control, malfunction of lamp can be detected with the change in the electric power. Wattmeter is used in rare cases as it is expensive though it is good to be used, it is used in this case
When VOLTS (voltage) is selected, the power supply voltage is displayed. This allows you to grasp the power supply status. For example, it can be determined that there is a problem with the power supply line if the value is abnormally low when the lamp heater is switched ON
* Stainless steel case has the following advantages
(1) Corrosion resistance is good, and does not rust. Therefore, the case does not cause the screws to rust and come off even when used for a long time (screws are also manufactured using SUS304 material)
(2) Though the painted surface may scorch if it momentarily becomes the focus of the spot heater, the stainless case is strong. It does not deform even when a large load is applied protecting the parts inside
(3) Very less sound is generated as it is almost nonmagnetic, and resonance does not occur even if a large phase control current flows
Equipped with a precision 10-turn potentiometer that can accurately set the power when set to heat. It can be switched to the preheat state with external contact or panel switch
* The output electric power can be adjusted freely using an external 4 to 20 mA signal with external control (Auto)
* An integrated hour meter indicates the standard replacement time of lamp

Explanation of the panel operations from the left side
(1) Power switch that also functions as 30 A breaker
(2) Multi-meter, it switches display between “VOLTS = Power supply voltage” ? “AMPS = Load current” ? “KW = Electric power” ? , and “PF = Power factor” on touching the multimeter “SEL” mark. The heater is set and controlled using electric power. The display state are stored even if the power supply is switched OFF, and starts with the stored display state “for example KW = Electric power” when the power supply is turned ON
(3) Heat knob Sets the electric power of the load. It is a 10 turn potentiometer that can be set accurately
(4) Preheat Set preheating electric power. If the knob is rotated all the way to the left, the value will be the same as set with (3) Heat, and the value reduces as the knob is turned to the right, and the value becomes zero when the knob is rotated all the way to the right
(5) Select switch The output is OFF at the center Rotating to the right turns ON panel operation, load electric power, and current value can be set with (3) Heat, (4) Preheat of panel. Usually, the power value set by (3) Heat is output. Preheat can be set by switching on the external contact ON. Or if the Preheat button at the indicator center of the panel is pressed, it is switched to Preheat only for the duration the switch is pressed. Auto (external control) is turned ON when rotated to the left, and is controlled in the 4 to 20 mA range
(6) Indicator Displays various states. The upper left lamp indicates that the unit is in Heat output state. The upper center lamp indicates that the unit is in Preheat output state. This lamp also serves as a switch, and the unit switches to Preheat state for the duration that the switch is pressed. The upper right lamp is Alarm, alarm to indicate that lamp heater is disconnected. The lower side is the total hour meter, it can be used to find out the duration for which the lamp was turned on (cannot be reset)
