The company was named as Fintech with the meaning of Fine-Technology.

Later FinTech was commonly used as a financial word (abbreviation of Financial-technology) and we are a little puzzled by this.

If we trace the etymology of Fine and Financial they lead to the Greek word Finis (end).

The sales was good for Fintech during the fiscal year 23 (November 2014 to October 2015) There were various factors but the continuous depreciation of the yen has had a significant impact. Share of HD coil hot air heater “SAHD” based on new technology is steadily expanding and this is contributing to the increase in sales. SAHD type hot air heater will bring about irreversible changes in the market and our efforts to capture the market of high-temperature hot air heaters is proceeding favorably. Offering the same level of heaters to users who are currently using the heaters of other companies by saying “Change to Fintech heaters” will only result in a price war and generally the users will not shift to Fintech products. However, we can get many users to use Fintech products regardless of the price with innovative products that have been improved to the level of SAHD. Even though Fintech is an OEM, getting a mention in the Misumi catalog from 2015 is expected to accelerate the popularization of the SAHD heater.


The good results obtained during the current fiscal year is because of the hard work put in by the internal and external sales representatives, and also the production managers who supported the tight schedules in the current fiscal year. The tight schedule will not continue in the next fiscal year (24th term) and the plan is to adjust the production schedule so that there is some margin. Increasing the production capacity is required, but Fintech may invite danger of changing the financial situation if sufficient consideration is not given to ensure that the fixed costs are not increased excessively.

There are continuous improvements being made to the heater controller. The current policy of having large numbers of standard stock in addition to the order based production system will be continued, and also an immediate delivery system will be established. Fintech has developed an innovative system for hot air heater controllers and the patent application for the system has been submitted. This product incorporates the mechanism of mass flow controller for the hot air heater and the entire controller. The hot air heater will be equipped with the mass flow rate sensor function. Furthermore, innovative air flow rate control method that controls the solenoid valve at high speed cycles has been used. Stability has been further improved compared to the combination of mass flow and temperature controllers which were the best methods up to now. This enables the requirements of low to large flow rate to be met with a single unit and handling is also easy. Cost is reduced by half and this is the biggest advantage. Fintech stocks the standard controllers and has an instant delivery system in place. Fintech was extremely busy in 2015 and schedules were significantly delayed, but this system will be in place by August 2016.

Fintech will maintain the status quo for the current lamp heaters. Fintech has maintained a trend of expansion for both market scale and sales. The shortcoming of Fintech is having too few innovative new technologies that have not been developed by other companies even though Fintech has products that are technologically advanced. To have a market monopoly is difficult because the difference in performance when compared to products of other companies is not overwhelming. The future of heating using halogen lamps is very bright, and Fintech at present has to improve the cost difference, and maintain and expand the small to large range of products. Fintech would also like to start the development of a lamp heater with technology that cannot be copied by other companies. Good candidates for this are heaters with air cooling and cavity heating application products.

About us

Fintech was established at the end of 1992 with the aim to develop, produce and sell industrial heating equipment and lamps.

Fintech primarily deals with hot-air heaters, and lamp heaters using halogen lamp. The heaters have features such as heating capacity of very high temperatures ranging from 1472°F (800°C) to 2552°F (1400°C), clean, safe, compact, and excellent temperature control. The products are designed to meet the current and future requirements of the industry.

Fintech production processes are not aimed at large scale production. The processes have been set up such that even a single product of custom specification can be manufactured at low cost and shorter delivery time.

However, since Fintech has the minimum required personnel, the delivery dates may have to be adjusted when there are multiple orders.

News

A controller with an innovative system for hot air heaters has been developed and the patent is pending. Plans to launch the product in August 2016. (The launch has been significantly delayed since 2015 was an extremely busy year)Sales channels have been increased to strengthen the sales force. The current website targeted engineers having a certain level of product knowledge. To expand the frontage of Fintech, a new website that is easy to understand by anyone has been launched. The new website has been not completed and only an overview has been prepared at present, but plans have been made to increase the contents in the future providing easy-to-understand explanations on how to use Fintech products along with many videos. The new website will coexist with the current website and is intended to attract customers from a slightly different perspective compared to the current website.

Demonstration of coiling (winding) Video
The process to create the heating element with a winding structure that is a feature of the Fintech hot air heaters. Winding is completely manual in most cases because of small lot production of multiple products, semi-automatic winding shown in this video is also possible. This method of winding is generally known as “Flower-winding”.
TIG welding demonstration Video
A welding method has been devised to enable simple, quick and reliable welding. This method is used for the joints of the high temperature portions (heater tip and thermocouple welded portions) of Fintech heaters.
Sensor tip welding (TIG) Video
The video shows the argon arc welding used to weld the thermocouple tip of the sensor built-in heating element (temperature measuring unit).
Capacitor spot welding Video
This method is used when welding materials that cannot withstand high temperatures such as lead wires. Heat is transferred only to the welded portions as the welding is carried out in a short period of time 1/100 seconds or less, and oxidization of the welded portions is almost nil.
