Ultra-compact Lamp Heating Spot Heater
HSH-12 and HSH-18
Ultra-compact halogen spot heater. Can heat areas of ø0.059 in (1.5 mm) to ø0.098 in (2.5 mm) to any temperature from 1472ºF (800ºC) to 1652ºF (900ºC) and is ultra-compact at the same time → *1
Lamp heating spot heater which heats at a high temperature by condensing the light of halogen lamp and enables clean heating. Heating even in vacuum is possible as a heating medium is not required, → *2
Narrow and small locations which could be heated only by using heating devices such as optical fiber and laser heating systems can now be heated at a very low cost.
Furthermore, these devices are highly efficient, low cost, and saves energy when compared to optical fiber and laser heating systems while having much better safety at the same time.
These lamps have no restriction on the lighting direction and can be used for moving applications since the shock and vibration resistance of the light bulbs of these lamps is at par with the light bulbs used in automobiles → *3
High efficiency design with gold plated mirror specifications having high reflectance. With front protection glass Divided into mirror and lamp units, and the mirror and lamp units can be replaced independently.
*1: The temperature up to which an object can be heated will vary depending on the type of the object to be heated. The heating temperature can be controlled by controlling the heating temperature or by changing the voltage from 0% to 100%. Overvoltage of up to 110% can be used in some cases. However, lamp life will be approximately 1/3 in such cases. Frequent flashing operations will reduce the service life The drop in service life can be improved by not reducing the voltage completely to zero in addition to increasing the voltage slowly.
*2 HSH can also be placed in a vacuum chamber. However, a little gas may be released from the inorganic adhesive. In addition, there is a tendency for heat dissipation to reduce inside vacuum, heat dissipation of the main body has to be taken into consideration when using in vacuum.
*3 When installing on moving units, the device may be subject to high impact specifically when stopping, therefore impact preventive measures must be provided.
*4 Aluminum tubes are used for holding and fixing HSH, and also has the function of cooling the main body. When the device is continuously used near the rated voltage, the device must also function as a radiator so that the heat is satisfactorily transferred to the holding bracket preventing increase in the main body temperature.
However, in case of intermittent and low-voltage use, the aluminum tube can be shortened or eliminated. The aluminum tube can be easily cut with a metal pipe cutter. However, the cut edges may be sharp, and measures such as inserting a protective tube or applying adhesive are required to prevent the power supply lead wires from getting cut.
* 2 stage configuration mirror is used to prevent a decrease in light utilization due to ultra-compactness of the device.
* Halogen lamp of special design is used as the light source.
* Fully condensing type when (-øA) has been omitted. The condensed light diameter in this case will be almost as given in the top right table.
* Specify the irradiation range øA to heat a wide range with a certain degree of distribution. In this case, custom specification is required. However, even with the condensing type, a wider range can be heated by moving from the focal point.
