The standard type line heater “LHW-60/f8/L” is a strip line lamp heater using a halogen lamp with a mirror width of 2.36 in (60 mm) and focal length of 8.
Can heat a strip without condensing. Useful for heating relatively remote locations. Low cost though the unit has an extremely advanced power-saving design.
Efficient design when the unit is used independently. When multiple units are arranged in parallel side-by-side, “LHW-35/f8” may be the better choice in some cases.
The product length can be increased and effective length of the mirror can be extended in the range 3.93 in (100 mm) to 118.11 in (3000 mm).
This model can function with large outputs, and a high output which is approximately double compared to the previous heaters can be obtained (H18 type).
To ensure reliable high temperature heating, a little ingenuity is required along with the selection of the heater. Also examine “Cavity heating method”.
The mirror becomes inevitably shallow in case of parallel light type (parabolic mirror), and light leakage to the surroundings is more, and this is the main cause for various problems. Also, the drawbacks of the mirror are, ratio of light that can be controlled is low, and the efficiency is poor.
However, the LHW-60/f8 type has been provided with a light recovery type thick hood. Reduction in light leakage, and improvement of light utilization rate have been simultaneously achieved with this hood.
Note: Basically the line heater has to be lit such that the lamp axis becomes horizontal. Installing vertically or diagonally, may cause deformation of the filaments and overheating of the lamp sealing parts resulting in a shorter service life. However, please contact Fintech as there may be cases for which solutions are offered.
